Formerly the summer residence of one of Malta’s leading 20th Century Industrialists Chevalier Antonio Cassar Torregiani, The Villa is a fine example of Maltese architecture. Antonio Cassar Torregiani loved this location on the waters’ edge and built a magnificent staircase to the design of his father in law Giuseppe Cali, transforming this otherwise humble farm house into a stunning home with a palatial entrance. Following his death in 1959 he left this house to his Son Frank who lived there till his death in 1973. Survived by his wife and children the Villa was lived in until 1989 when the property was later sold to a consortium who built the now Le Meridian St Julian’s on its land and gardens.
The hotel was finished in 2006 and The Villa immediately became one of its most identifying features. Situated in the heart of St. Julian’s, The Villa is a 19th century property with fantastic sea views. It has been fully converted to offer you the best facilities to suit any occasion. In this sense, The Villa is unique as it is a truly multifunctional venue in the heart of Malta’s tourist and business center with added facilities to complement its ideal seaside location.
